Confirmed Early Access date
Steam lists Wanderburg Early Access for September 8, 2026 (app 3624140).
If you searched wanderburg release date, when will wanderburg be released, or wanderburg early access, this is the official schedule to start from — then verify the live store countdown.
Before unlock, Steam may show the title as not yet available and invite a wishlist for a notification when EA goes live.
How long will Early Access last?
On the Steam EA FAQ, developers say they currently expect roughly 6 to 12 months in Early Access. That may change with development and player feedback.
Treat the range as a planning estimate, not a hard 1.0 date. Patch cadence can shift after players pile in.
What developers say EA is for
Why EA: build Wanderburg with the community — see which builds, strategies, and combinations players love, break, or completely devour the game with.
Current state (Steam wording): the game is fully playable and already includes the core loop of rolling through biomes across multiple difficulty levels, consuming villages and fortresses to expand, and experimenting with builds.
Full version plans: more content, variety, and polish, plus improvements to systems and balance from feedback.
Pricing note from Steam: price might increase during EA as content is added — check the live store before buying.
Community channels they watch: Discord and Steam forums.
Demo while you wait
A free Steam demo (app 4268810) has been available since the Next Fest window; developer messaging said it would remain available for the foreseeable future.
Use the demo to learn driving and early modules before EA unlocks. See our Demo page for an install checklist.
Press quotes on Steam (Eurogamer, GamesRadar+, GameStar) are wishlist / demo-era reactions — not a substitute for your own EA session.
